Grassland is actually very important not only because it is found covering 37% of the worlds land area it also produces a fair few important types of food that we eat. The biome doesn't produce a lot of food but the types of food it does produce is important like wheat and corn, they are quite important for our lives. But it does have a few more types of animals that not we eat but other animals eat like the grass and the wheat and corn they also are produced in a way for us to eat them. The types of animals that may eat from the Grassland biome and survive there are bison, antelope, birds, fox, cows, sheep, turkeys, geese and rabbits. Wheat and corn is produced by putting seeds of the wheat and corn into soft soil and waiting a period of time while watering the wheat and corn and then once they're ready, harvest then out of the soil. Grass just keeps on producing through time and weather. The animals in the ecosystem reproduce through mating.
